Fire Alarms, Bad Timing, and Me in Shorts

I'll post a picture here of my cat being mesmerized by the snow -
simply because I refuse to show a picture of me in my shorts.

I like to take late lunches - around 1pm. I don't actually eat lunch, though. I go to the gym. I get to the gym at around 1:10pm today and get on the treadmill. I'm taking it slow - a nice brisk walk about to start jogging. But wait.

Fire alarm. Great, somebody's burnt their f-ing popcorn again.

Runner of the gym, "Everybody grab their stuff, we have to get outside."

I grab a towel and my bag.

My current outfit: Running shorts, running shoes, my Pitt Basketball shirt.

Current Weather in DC: 26 (F), feels like 15 (F). Light snow.

Yes, that's right. I had to go stand outside wrapped in a towel in shorts and a t-shirt in freezing weather (and snow). I met up with my fellow co-workers and laughed about the situation, all the while refusing people's offers for jackets. Surprisingly, I wasn't cold. I just felt great, however, looking like the asshole in shorts in the middle of winter.

In the end, I accepted a hat, gloves, and a jacket from a wonderful woman that went to her car and got the jacket for me. I wrapped the towel around my legs - yeah, I looked like I had just ran out of the shower - and suffered through the cold. My favorite part was when the wind blew, and the snow would hit my face. Great stuff right there.

We were outside for 30 minutes. I did not work out afterwards.

So a great thank you to the person that burned their popcorn, yet again. I will send you a bill for my copay when I have to go to the doctor with pneumonia.

Asshole.

Sometimes I'm the Cheese Person

Today I went to our ab exercise class at my work gym. The instructor thought it would be cool to use those stupid exercise balls. Needless to say, I didn't think it was such a good idea, considering my short legs can barely hold on to the ball.

So, we're laying on our backs, passing the ball between our hands and legs, and I'm not doing to poorly of a job. But then?

Thump.... rolllllllllllllll....

My freakin' ball rolled away!

"Oh shit," I mutter under my breath. You would maybe think that the person it rolled past would be courteous enough to stop the ball from rolling any further, but no. The ball kept rolling until it hit some guy in the head.

Sorry about that, dude.

So today, I am the cheese person. And now I know not to take the ab class on Friday.
