This long (extra long) weekend, I went up to visit my sister and her family. My niece, who's almost six, was not feeling well much of the weekend. It appeared that she had a "tummy bug" and was successfully vomiting on occasion (a restaurant excursion included!).
To make her feel better, my sister brought home a gatorade for her to drink since she didn't feel well enough to eat. And we all know that Gatorade is good because it has electrolytes. And that's what my sister told her.
"But mommy, why do I want to have electric lights in my tummy?"
You try telling a six year old what electrolytes are. Electric lights almost seem easier to explain.
