So what do we put in our pot roast? Easy: meat, red potatoes, an onion, celery, and carrots. Our grocery store conveniently sells celery stalks independently, so that you don't have to buy a whole bunch. We only needed two. Pot roast ingredients are ready to be purchased.
As we get to the express lanes, my husband nudges me, "Oh my god, look who it is..." he says. I turn around.
it's the checkout guy
"Oh no," I say.
"Do you want to try another lane?" husband asks me.
We try to go to the other lane, but there's basically nobody at checkout guy's lane. We were kind of in a hurry. So, we bite the bullet and checkout guy will check us out.
Meat, beep.
Onion, click click, beep.
Carrots, click click beep.
Celery......
celery... He can't figure out the code for the individual celery stalks. He checks his book of veggie codes, and nothing. There is no info for the individual celery stalks.
So? Checkout guy shrugs his shoulders and puts the celery into our bags.
